The Process for Publishing On-line Open-File Reports

All editing, layout and accessibility work should be completed prior to On-line Publication submissions.

  1. The report must be "verified" by a 508 Specialist in CPG:
    1. If the report was not made compliant by CPG, submitting anOn-Line Publication and Section 508 Processing Form is still necessary.
      1. The 508 Specialist will verify the report as compliant.
    2. Visit the CPG Toolbox webpage for guidance on Section 508.
  2. When the report is ready to be published on-line:
    1. CPG's 508 Specialist will send the following related report contents to the CPG Webmaster:
      1. All Completed file(s).
      2. On-Line Publication and Section 508 Processing Request Form
  3. The report will be arranged on the "pubs" server and a cover page will be created.
    1. This process typically takes between 10 - 20 days.
      1. An e-mail message will be sent to the Author(s) for final review of:
        1. The on-line report's layout, text, images, and links.
    2. When the Author(s) sends approval of the on-line report to the CPG Webmaster:
      1. An e-mail announcement will be made, which always includes the Author(s):
        1. It will state that the publication is open to the public and if it is available "Online Only."

Note: It may take a few days for the Publications Warehouse to update the database.

Completed files are sent to the CPG Webmaster:
