The Process of a Section 508 Job

CPG's 508 Specialist will verify the report's compliancy.

  1. If the Job Request is to create a Section 508 compliant version:
    1. Transformation to meet accessibility requirements will be performed.
      1. CPG's 508 Specialist will send the compliant version back to the Author(s) for review.
        1. The version may be sent via e-mail.
        • This allows the Author(s) to have control over the report while it is under CPG 508 transformation.
        • Time is also saved while the Author(s) can work directly with the 508 Specialist in order to best serve their needs and meet their satisfaction.
      2. Proceed to Step III. (When the Author(s) feel that the report is satisfactorily compliant)
  2. If the On-Line Publication and Section 508 Processing Request is ONLY for verification of Section 508 compliancy:
    1. An accessibility check will be performed.
      1. If the report passes verification:
      2. If the report does not pass verification:
  3. When the Author(s) feel that the report is satisfactorily compliant:
    1. The 508 Specialist will forward the report to be posted on-line.

  4. The report is ready to be published on-line:
    1. Reports will only be accepted for on-line posting if it is validated by a designated Section 508 Specialist.
    2. Proceed to Guidance for CPG's Web Publications.
